WINNIPEG — A woman was found dead and another man was shot by police as officers responded to a domestic call in Elmwood on Friday morning.
Police say officers arrived at a residence in the 300 block of Riverton Avenue at around 8 a.m. and became involved in a confrontation with a man. Police say officers shot the man and he was sent to hospital.
Police also found a woman deceased at the scene and are treating the death as a homicide.
The Independent Investigation Unit of Manitoba is looking into the officer-involved shooting, while police are investigating the death of the female victim.
