WINNIPEG — As the Manitoba Bisons volleyball teams prepare to open their season Saturday at Investors Group Athletic Centre, the women’s squad is looking ahead to 2020-21.

The Herd introduced local recruit Brenna Bedosky on Friday. The Collège Jeanne-Sauvé product is a middle blocker currently playing for her high school and the Junior Bisons Volleyball Club.

The 17-year-old stands at 6’1″ and is the co-captain of the CJS volleyball team this season.

“We are very excited to have Brenna join our program for the 2020-21 season and beyond,” said Bisons women’s volleyball head coach Ken Bentley.

“Brenna has been a Junior Bisons athlete since she was at the 15U level, making our 15U Black squad. Since that time, Brenna has worked incredibly hard to move her game forward and has been playing with our Gold teams from 16U to 18U. Brenna has also been a fixture in our Junior Bisons strength and conditioning program, using every part of our program for her development.”

Manitoba opens their season Saturday at 4 p.m. as they host the Mount Royal Cougars. The men follow at 5:45 p.m. Both teams square off again on Sunday at 2 p.m. (men) and 3:45 p.m. (women).
