Manitoba RCMP say impaired driving charges are pending against the 35-year-old man who collided into an oncoming vehicle on Highway 10 Saturday evening.
The two-vehicle crash happened at around 6:30 p.m. five kilometres north of Bowsman, Manitoba.
Police say a truck travelling south collided with a northbound truck, being driven by a 58-year-old man from Shoal River First Nation. He was taken to hospital but succumbed to his injuries. His 31-year-old female passenger, also from Shoal River First Nation, was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
The man from Powell, Manitoba in the southbound vehicle is currently in hospital with non-life threatening injuries. He will be charged upon release.
Swan River RCMP continue to investigate.
