Winnipeg police are investigating a fire on Halloween night that claimed the life of a man at a home at 506 Pritchard Avenue.
Emergency crews were called to the residence at around 10:25 p.m. and located the man inside. He was taken to hospital in critical condition and succumbed to his injuries.
Police aren’t calling the fire an arson, but note that it doesn’t appear to be of an accidental nature.
Investigators are asking anyone in the area who may have video surveillance systems to check for images between 9:30 p.m. and 11 p.m. on October 31.
