MOOSE LAKE, Man. — Three people have been charged with murder following the death of a man in northern Manitoba last week.

RCMP say the 37-year-old alleged victim was found assaulted in a field in the Moose Lake area early Friday morning.

The man, whose name has not been released by police, died at the local nursing station.

Brendan Mercredi Spence, a 26-year-old Moose Lake resident, was arrested and charged Sunday with second-degree murder.

Clayton Mercredi, who is 37 and also from Moose Lake, along with a 25-year-old Easterville resident, Errol Mink, were arrested Monday on the same charge.

All three remain in custody and will appear in court in The Pas on Thursday.
