Winnipeg Food Delivery Driver Carjacked at Knifepoint

Winnipeg Police Logo CrestWINNIPEG — An online food delivery driver was carjacked at knifepoint Tuesday while making a stop in the 300 block of Sherbrook Street.

The driver was approached by a woman at around 11:20 p.m., who then took the vehicle and led police on a brief pursuit.

Officers caught up to the driver in the area of Dufferin Avenue and Parr Street at 11:45 p.m. The woman then stopped in the 400 block of Pritchard Avenue and police tried to take the occupants out of the vehicle. The driver took off and dragged a K9 officer a short distance before fleeing. The officer wasn’t seriously injured.

Police chased the vehicle until the woman abandoned it in the 300 block of Powers Street and fled on foot. A male passenger also fled the scene.

The woman was arrested by officers following a brief foot chase.

Klarrisa Faye Muswagon, 25, faces numerous charges, including failing to comply with a probation order.

She remains in custody.
