Winnipeg police are looking for the driver of a vehicle after a strange incident in Bridgwater Forest on Monday.
Officers with the guns and gangs unit were in the area on an unrelated matter just before 6 p.m. when they noticed a vehicle driving in a suspicious manner.
Police followed the vehicle to a parking lot, where it made a U-turn, driving head-on towards police before swerving. The vehicle hit two garbage cans and pushed them into the rear side of the police cruiser, pushing it a short distance. The vehicle then fled and police haven’t been able to locate it, or the driver.
Anyone with information is asked to contact investigators at (204) 986-6219 or Crime Stoppers at (204) 786-TIPS (8477).
