Four people have been charged after Winnipeg police raided a home Thursday evening, seizing a number of drugs and weapons.
Members of the police guns and gangs unit, along with the tactical support team, executed a search warrant on two suites of a home in the 300 block of Toronto Street.
Police located:
– A sawed-off 12-gauge shotgun
– Four 12-gauge shotgun shells
– A machete
– Soft body armour
– Approximately 7 ounces of methamphetamine (estimated street value of $4,200)
– Drug packaging materials
– A digital scale contaminated with a substance believed to be drug residue
– $3,900 in cash
Two men, one woman and a 16-year-old boy — all from Winnipeg — were arrested and face numerous charges. The teen was released on a promise to appear.
