University of Winnipeg WesmenA new fundraising campaign is telling the stories of University of Winnipeg Wesmen student-athletes in a video series.

The videos are a part of the upcoming Weekend of Giving campaign (November 28-30), where the Wesmen will be accepting donations to aid current and future student-athletes through the Wesmen Scholarship Fund.

“Our student-athletes carry the same burdens of many post-secondary students — studying, maintaining grades, balancing a social life — but also do so with the extra weight of training, volunteering, practices, travel and games,” said Wesmen athletic director Dave Crook.

“The Wesmen Scholarship Fund helps to hopefully alleviate some of the stress by taking away the worry of a financial component.
