A popular fun adventure park in the city is shutting its doors next month. Sky Zone Winnipeg announced it will cease operations in December.

“It is with great sadness that we announce to you that Sky Zone Winnipeg will be closing its doors forever ?on December 1st, 2019?,” the company said in a Facebook post on Sunday.

The trampoline venue in southwest Winnipeg opened in 2013 and is often the scene for children’s birthday parties and other fun, family-orientated events.

“We hope that the memories created at our park will forever be cherished and remembered through all you(r) pictures and fun videos that you captured at Sky Zone,” the post continued.

Sky Zone isn’t the first family-focused venue to close in recent months. Great Big Adventure — an indoor playground facility also located in south Winnipeg — suddenly closed in September.

Sky Zone says it will honour all outstanding gift cards and valid coupons until December 1. Any monthly or annual passes will be refunded as long as they haven’t been used to date.

Fun Park Amusement Center on Wilkes Avenue has offered to honour customer deposits and host all birthday parties previously booked at Sky Zone after December 2.
