Another bike rack has appeared in the West End, marking the 150th rack cyclists can use to secure their rides.

The West End BIZ has placed the bike rack in front of Drop In Dance Winnipeg at 1381 Portage Avenue.

“Cycling is an increasingly popular way for folks to get around our neighbourhood and we’re very pleased to provide improved infrastructure for all modes of transportation in the West End,” said Joe Kornelsen, executive director of the West End BIZ.

“It’s great to see more people and families exploring the neighbourhood and visiting businesses by bike.”

So far this year, the BIZ — with help from the City of Winnipeg — has installed 19 bike racks throughout the neighbourhood.

Local business owners and members can request a bike rack installation from the BIZ.
