The Manitoba Bisons swim team is making waves at the 2019 Canada West Swimming Championships, picking up two more gold medals at the meet on Saturday.
Fifth-year men’s swimmer Anthony Iliouchetchev won a decisive gold in the 50-metre freestyle, while fourth-year Kelsey Wog set a conference record in the 100-metre breaststroke to capture her second gold medal of the meet.
On Friday, Wog went a perfect four-for-four in her Bisons career for gold medals in the 50-metre breaststroke, marking a 30.57 to finish a full second and a half ahead of the second-place finisher.
The Bisons women finished Saturday with 176 total points, good for fifth place.
The three-day CW Championships in Lethbridge, Alberta concludes today with the finals streaming on CanadaWest.TV starting at 4 p.m. CT (subscription required).
