A woman was killed Sunday morning when her vehicle became airborne and landed in a ditch off Highway 305.
RCMP responded to the single-vehicle accident just after 8:30 a.m. near Road 62 North in the RM of Portage la Prairie.
Police say the southbound vehicle was travelling on Highway 305 when it left the roadway and struck the side of a driveway. Emergency crews arrived to find the driver, a 41-year-old Long Plain First Nation woman, deceased on scene. Police say she wasn’t wearing a seatbelt.
RCMP continue to investigate.
