Five Dogs Rescued from Logan Avenue Blaze

Winnipeg firefighters rescued five dogs from a two-storey duplex fire Sunday afternoon.

Crews responded to the 1100 block of Logan Avenue at around 4:45 p.m. to find heavy smoke coming from the residence. They launched an offensive interior attack and had flames under control by around 5:09 p.m.

Five dogs were rescued and taken into the care of the Animal Services Agency.

No injuries were reported and no occupants were in the home at the time.

The cause of the fire is under investigation and no damage estimates are available.
