The Winnipeg Goldeyes have signed infielder Darren Seferina for the 2020 season.
The Curacao native hit a combined .214 with 12 doubles, six home runs, 29 RBI, and 17 stolen bases over 97 games for the Double-A Texas League’s Springfield Cardinals, the Double-A Southern League’s Biloxi Shuckers, and the Low-A Midwest League’s Wisconsin Timber Rattlers.
“I’m really excited to add Darren,” said Goldeyes’ manager Rick Forney. “He’s a young, explosive player that can do many positive things for a ball club. I love his defensive versatility, and I really feel like he has the type of offensive skill set that can impact a lineup. Darren is a hungry and motivated player.”
The Goldeyes now have three players under contract for the 2020 season.
