Two People Charged in West End Break-In

Winnipeg Police Logo CrestWINNIPEG — Two people are in police custody after a break-in in the 400 block of Banning Street early Tuesday.

A homeowner called police at around 2 a.m. to report two suspicious people were going door-to-door in the area.

Officers, the K9 unit and Air 1 all responded to the scene and found the two suspects had entered a home in the 500 block of Banning Street.

A man was located after a brief foot pursuit, while a woman was found still inside the residence and in possession of a small amount of cocaine.

A resident inside during the break-in wasn’t injured.

Lloyd Kenneth Castel of Winnipeg, 23, and Keesha Annalee Keeper of Grand Rapids, 20, both face several charges.
