A male who was walking on Highway 6 was struck and killed by a vehicle early Thursday.

RCMP say the person was walking approximately two kilometres north of Hildbre, Manitoba when he was hit at around 1:30 a.m.

The 54-year-old RM of Grahamdale woman driving the northbound vehicle stopped and immediately called 911.

The pedestrian, who has yet to be identified, was pronounced deceased on scene.

Alcohol is not a factor in the collision and RCMP continue to investigate.
