WINNIPEG — A public regimental funeral service is being held Friday for a Manitoba RCMP killed in a vehicle collision last week.
Constable Allan Poapst was travelling on the North Perimeter Highway the afternoon of December 13 when a pickup truck crossed the median and hit his vehicle head-on.

Standard venue security protocol will be in place at the arena for those entering.
“Over the last few days, the Manitoba RCMP has received a tremendous amount of support, kind gestures, and thoughtful messages from the public, law enforcement agencies, emergency service providers across Canada, as well as from our municipal partners and local businesses. We are truly humbled by this outpouring of support,” RCMP said in a statement.
