Manitoba RCMP are investigating two separate deaths believed to be caused by exposure to the elements.

The first person was discovered at around 11:40 a.m. Saturday on a trail in Selkirk Park.

The 52-year-old Selkirk man was found unresponsive and pronounced deceased at the scene.

At around 3 p.m. the same day, Gillam RCMP responded to an unresponsive woman in an open area off of Butnau Road in Gillam.

The 48-year-old Fox Lee Cree Nation woman was pronounced deceased at the scene.

“Although no criminality is suspected in either of these deaths, the investigations remain ongoing as we await the results of the autopsies,” RCMP said in a statement.
