Manitoba’s Independent Investigation Unit is looking into the death of a 54-year-old man following his arrest by Selkirk RCMP.
Officers responded to a call Monday at around 1:30 a.m. to a home in the RM of St. Andrews. They took a man into custody and transported him to the local detachment.
Shortly after arriving, the man became unresponsive and went into medical distress. CPR was performed and paramedics were contacted, but the man couldn’t be revived.
