WINNIPEG — Two people have been arrested and charged after a traffic stop last Friday.
Police were in the area of Aberdeen Avenue and Aikins Street on December 27 when they noticed a vehicle with dealer plates bearing what appeared to be fresh damage. The vehicle was occupied at the time and parked on the wrong side of the road.
Officers determined the vehicle was stolen from the Spence area on December 18 and also located a .22 calibre rifle on the floor, along with 1.55 grams of methamphetamine worth approximately $80. The dealer plates were stolen from the St. Matthews area between December 23-24.
Gavin Harley Troy Anderson, 25, and Raven Dawn Severight, 30, both from Winnipeg, were arrested and face drugs and weapons charges.
They remain in custody.
