WINNIPEG — Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his federal Liberal cabinet ministers will hold a three-day retreat in Winnipeg beginning Sunday.
The Prime Minister’s office says the retreat, planned to run from January 19 to 21, will discuss climate change, global challenges, reconciliation and public health and safety.
“I look forward to a productive Cabinet meeting in Winnipeg, a fantastic city and an important economic and cultural centre for the Prairies,” Trudeau said in a press release.
“In October, Canadians sent a clear message that they want a government that finds common ground and ensures that everyone, from every region, benefits from a strong and growing modern economy. That is exactly what our government will deliver.”
The PMO added the retreat is an opportunity to address key priorities moving forward, as well as the importance of doing so in an open and collaborative way.
