WINNIPEG — Seven grand prizes are sweetening the deal in this year’s St. Boniface Hospital Mega Million Choices Lottery.
Now in its eighth year, the lottery has raised more than $15 million for the St. Boniface Hospital Foundation, providing for vital care in the hospital’s NICU, cardiac care and palliative care areas.
“Last year, Manitobans answered the call in record numbers to support St. Boniface Hospital patients and medical research — one result was the biggest 50/50 pot in the province’s history,” said Vince Barletta, president and CEO of St. Boniface Hospital Foundation.
“Now, for the first time ever, we’re offering a Brandon home — including a cottage in the Clear Lake area.”
The grand prize winner will select one of six luxury prize packages or the winner can opt for $1.2 million in tax-free cash.
Every grand prize home package also comes with $250,000 cash, at least one vehicle, and a travel package valued at $50,000.
“We can’t stress it enough,” Barletta added. “The money raised is essential to ensure patients get the best possible care. Any of us might find ourself or our family in need at St. Boniface Hospital.
