Stonewall RCMP are investigating a stabbing of a 29-year-old man serving time at Stony Mountain Institution.
The incident occurred at around 8 p.m. Monday when the victim was seen entering another inmate’s cell and later emerged injured. He was taken to hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries and remains in stable condition.
No arrests have been made.
RCMP and Major Crimes are continuing to investigate.
