A south Winnipeg fitness and recreational facility is ready for its big debut.
Altea Active in Bridgwater is welcoming the public this Saturday for a grand opening celebration.
The $30 million, 80,000-square-foot complex held a soft opening in November 2019, but all services and amenities are now open.
Altea Active features five fitness studios, two pools for lane swimming, a rock climbing and ninja area, whirlpools, a skating lab, a rooftop terrace and designated social areas. Post-workout beverage areas offer a smoothie bar and Starbucks.
The co-ed facility boasts 160 pieces of cardio equipment and includes a full-service private women’s only saltwater aquafit pool, strength and training cardio area, an exclusive women’s only group fitness studio and a supervised children’s activities centre.
The grand opening is scheduled for February 1 between 12 p.m. and 4 p.m. with champagne, snacks, a ribbon-cutting and a chance to win prizes.
Altea Active is located at 100 South Town Road just off Kenaston Boulevard.
