Winnipeg police are reopening station duty offices following a temporary closure last November.
The offices were closed so officers could be reassigned to deal with an unprecedented increase in violent crime, which put a strain on police sources.
During the closures, the public was advised to attend Winnipeg police headquarters downtown should they have needed to file a report or speak to an officer.
Following a reassessment by police, all station duty offices will reopen on Monday, February 3.
Locations include North District, East District, and the West District station, which will be open Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Station duty at police headquarters will operate seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Members of the public are reminded to call 911 in case of emergencies and call (204) 986-6222 for non-emergency incidents. Police reports can also be filed online.
