Winnipeg police have arrested a man after a high-speed chase early Monday involving a stolen vehicle.
Officers spotted the vehicle in the area of Selkirk Avenue and Sinclair Street at around 12:19 a.m. and tried to initiate a traffic stop, but the driver took off.
Air 1 was used to locate the suspect in the area of the James Richardson International Airport, where officers took him into custody.
The suspect was found to be the subject of a Canada-wide warrant for apprehension and suspension of parole/statutory release.
Jonas Donat Sabiston, 25, of Winnipeg faces numerous charges and remains in custody.
