Lockport Man Charged After Collision Turns Up Drugs, Gun

A man from Lockport, Manitoba has been charged after a collision on the north Perimeter Highway turned up drugs and a 9mm handgun.

The single-vehicle crash happened just after 2 a.m. on February 9 in the RM of West St. Paul.

As RCMP were en route, they were informed that the driver was threatening people who stopped to assist him.

Officers arrived to find the vehicle in the ditch on the east side of the Perimeter, where they arrested the driver for uttering threats.

Police found a small quantity of cocaine and two bottles of an anabolic steroid in the vehicle. A police dog was also able to locate an unloaded 9mm handgun.

Jeffrey William Frame, 40, faces several drugs and weapons charges.

RCMP continue to investigate.
