WINNIPEG — Randy Bachman and Burton Cummings will headline Manitoba 150 celebrations at an upcoming concert in front of the Manitoba legislature.

Bachman-Cummings will play Unite 150 on June 27, featuring iconic Manitoba musical acts, food and drink, multicultural programming and free family fun.

“We’re the two guys who wrote and sang these songs and I think people know that and want to hear the real thing,” Cummings said in a release.

“Bachman Cummings is out there delivering that. Not all artists are lucky enough to have this kind of staying power. Randy and I are able to touch Guess Who, BTO and Cummings solo stuff. We still have an audience that wants to hear those songs done by the original guys.”

Members of the Canadian Music Hall of Fame, Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame, Canadian Broadcasters Hall of Fame, the Canadian Walk of Fame, the first-ever inductees into the Prairie Music Hall of Fame, recipients of the Order of Canada, the Order of Manitoba, the Governor General’s Performing Arts Award and several Broadcast Music Industry awards for more than one million airplays, Randy Bachman and Burton Cummings are Canadian rock ‘n’ roll royalty.

The concert is part of a full North American tour for the reunited duo.

Additional artists and announcements will be made available at a later date.
