Winnipeg firefighters attended six separate fires overnight, putting a strain on emergency resources within the span of 90 minutes.

Crews were first called to a garage fire at the rear of a home in the 400 block of Mountain Avenue shortly before 9 p.m.

A second garage fire to the rear of the 500 block of College Avenue was reported at 9:11 p.m.

A third garage fire was reported at a home in the 700 block of Redwood Avenue at 9:41 p.m.

Shortly before 10 p.m., a garage in the rear 700 block of Aberdeen Avenue was set ablaze.

Two garbage fires were then reported — one in the back lane of Magnus Avenue and another on Manitoba Avenue.

In all instances, firefighters quickly knocked down flames and no injuries were reported.

The fires are considered suspicious in nature and anyone with information is asked to contact Winnipeg police.
