Winnipeg police are looking for a suspect accused of spraying hateful graffiti, including swastika symbols, on several Pembina Highway businesses last week.
Police say on July 22, 10 separate businesses were tagged between midnight and 4 a.m. The businesses hit were the following:
- A bank in the 1300 block of Pembina Highway (R21-38983)
- A church in the 1700 block of Pembina Highway (C21-169315)
- A gift shop in the 1800 block of Pembina Highway (C21-169159)
- A cafe in the 1800 block of Pembina Highway (C21-169160)
- A supermarket in the 1800 block of Pembina Highway (R21-38639)
- A medical centre in the 2000 block of Pembina Highway (C21-169035)
- A law firm in the 2100 block of Pembina Highway (C21-169192)
- A drugstore in the 2200 block of Pembina Highway (E21-15230)
- A medical centre in the 2300 block of Pembina Highway (C21-169138)
- A hair salon in the 2800 block of Pembina Highway (E21-15159)
The suspect was caught on surveillance video and is described as a man in his 20s or 30s. He was wearing lime green shorts, a plaid shirt, a red and white cap, with a distinct black gym bag slung across his body.
