Suspect Sought After Winnipeg Businesses Tagged with Hateful Graffiti

Winnipeg police are looking for a suspect accused of spraying hateful graffiti, including swastika symbols, on several Pembina Highway businesses last week.

Police say on July 22, 10 separate businesses were tagged between midnight and 4 a.m. The businesses hit were the following:

  1. A bank in the 1300 block of Pembina Highway (R21-38983)
  2. A church in the 1700 block of Pembina Highway (C21-169315)
  3. A gift shop in the 1800 block of Pembina Highway (C21-169159)
  4. A cafe in the 1800 block of Pembina Highway (C21-169160)
  5. A supermarket in the 1800 block of Pembina Highway (R21-38639)
  6. A medical centre in the 2000 block of Pembina Highway (C21-169035)
  7. A law firm in the 2100 block of Pembina Highway (C21-169192)
  8. A drugstore in the 2200 block of Pembina Highway (E21-15230)
  9. A medical centre in the 2300 block of Pembina Highway (C21-169138)
  10. A hair salon in the 2800 block of Pembina Highway (E21-15159)

The suspect was caught on surveillance video and is described as a man in his 20s or 30s. He was wearing lime green shorts, a plaid shirt, a red and white cap, with a distinct black gym bag slung across his body.
