Winnipeg police are looking for suspects after an online food delivery driver was shot while on the job on the West End.
The shooting happened just before 4 a.m. on July 28 near St. Matthews Avenue and Toronto Street.
Police say the 35-year-old man had just delivered food to a residence when a silver SUV with a man and woman inside blocked his exit. The male suspect pointed a gun at the driver, who was able to quickly reverse and escape. The suspects caught up to him and shot one round at his vehicle, shattering his window and injuring him.
Officers located the victim in the 700 block of Portage Avenue, who was then transported to hospital in stable condition.
No suspects have been arrested.
The driver is described as a white male, wearing a baseball cap and clear eyeglasses. He has brown hair and was wearing a grey T-shirt. The female passenger is described as having dark-coloured skin.
The firearm was described as a .22 calibre rifle or similar.
