Winnipeg police are searching for the driver of a moving truck that allegedly hit a pedestrian during a fatal collision on August 6.
Police say the incident happened at around 10:30 a.m. at the intersection of Broadway and Smith Street.
A woman in her late 80s was attempting to cross Smith Street at Broadway when she was struck and run over by a white five-ton truck travelling eastbound on Broadway. The truck then turned northbound onto Main Street.
Prior to the collision, police found that truck had been travelling northbound on Smith Street and then turned eastbound onto Broadway but cut the curb and struck the pedestrian.
The woman was taken to hospital in critical condition and succumbed to her injuries on August 8.
