Winnipeg police are investigating a homicide after a woman was fatally shot in the 500 block of Young Street early Monday.
Police located the 45-year-old victim outside with a severe gunshot wound at around 2 a.m. She was administered first aid and transported to hospital in critical condition, where she succumbed to her injuries.

UPDATE: Tuesday, August 17 — The victim has been identified as Deena Anne Marwick, 45, of Winnipeg.
