WINNIPEG — The popular Night Market at Assiniboia Downs is returning this weekend.
Sunday’s market runs from 1 p.m. to 11 p.m. and will be the first of three this season, including on September 5 and September 19.
Organizer Cory O’Grodnik says this year’s theme is all about supporting local business, in which more than 100 exhibitors and artisans will be in attendance. Visitors will also be able to purchase food, take in live musical performances and sip on a cold one at the beer garden.
“Assiniboia Downs is a venue featuring both indoor and outdoor space which has proved to be a popular choice for this kind of market,” O’Grodnik said. “We want to bring that vibe back to a community that has been patiently waiting for great food, great entertainment and a chance to see the latest innovations in the exhibitor world.”
Admission is $7 (Children five and under are free) and parking is $5. Tickets are available at the door. Patrons don’t have to be fully immunized to attend the event.
