34 New COVID-19 Cases in Manitoba on Monday

WINNIPEG — Manitoba reported 34 new cases of COVID-19 (coronavirus) on Monday, bringing the provincial total to 58,681.

Health officials say there are 503 active cases, 56,989 people have recovered, and 23 people are in the hospital with active COVID-19 cases, including six in the intensive care unit. The death toll in the province is 1,189.

213 new cases of the virus have been identified since Thursday: 31 cases on Friday, Aug. 27; 102 cases on Saturday, Aug. 28; 46 cases on Sunday, Aug. 29; and 34 cases today, Monday, Aug. 30.

1,607 laboratory tests were completed yesterday, bringing the total number of lab tests completed since early February 2020 to 923,548.

Anyone with COVID-19 symptoms is encouraged to use the online screening tool to determine whether they meet the necessary criteria to attend a community testing site.
