One person has died and another has been arrested for impaired driving following a head-on crash on Highway 59 early Sunday.
Selkirk RCMP responded to the crash near the intersection with Fey Road, in the RM of Alexander, just before 1 a.m.
Police say a northbound vehicle, being driven by a 58-year-old woman from the RM of Alexander, collided head-on with a southbound pickup truck, being driven by an 86-year-old man from Grand Marais.
The elderly man was pronounced deceased on scene, while the woman was arrested for impaired operation of a conveyance causing death. She was later transported to hospital, along with her 65-year-old male passenger, who both suffered non-life-threatening injuries. The driver will appear in Selkirk court on November 5, 2021.
RCMP continue to investigate.
