Winnipeg police have arrested and charged a man after a road rage incident lead to a stabbing in East Kildonan earlier this month.
Police say at around 11:30 p.m. on August 14, two drivers unknown to each other became involved in a verbal dispute. They both pulled over along the roadway, where one of the drivers got out and approached the other vehicle. A 29-year-old passenger was stabbed and sustained life-threatening injuries. The victim was taken to the hospital by the female driver of the other vehicle, while the suspect fled the area.
Officers arrested a 20-year-old Winnipeg man on Monday and have charged him with aggravated assault.
He was released to appear in court at a later date.
