Manitoba RCMP are investigating a homicide at Stony Mountain Institution after the victim of a New Year’s Day assault succumbed to his injuries.
A 36-year-old man was found unresponsive in his cell on January 1 and transported to hospital in critical condition.
The victim died from his injuries on Monday and his death is being treated as a homicide.
No arrests have been made.
