Winnipeg police made an arrest early Friday after an armed man was found to have an outstanding warrant while riding in a taxi.
Officers pulled over the vehicle at around 12:30 a.m. at Arlington Street and Selkirk Avenue, where they seized a loaded .40 calibre Sig Sauer handgun from the suspect.
A 33-year-old Winnipeg man faces numerous firearms charges.
He remains in custody.
