One person was sent to hospital Thursday evening following an explosion at Brandon’s Civic Services Complex.
The City of Brandon says the natural gas line explosion occurred at around 6 p.m. at its public works building at 900 Richmond Avenue East. The explosion was limited to the building’s mechanical room.

One employee suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to hospital by ambulance.
The building is closed on Friday as officials conduct an investigation.
