Winnipeg’s Kolye TJN has been selected as one of eight emerging design houses to debut their latest collection at the annual Startup Fashion Week (SFW) in Toronto.
Themed “Balancing Act,” the runway show will take place on Friday, October 25 at the Illuminarium in the Distillery Historic District.
Founder Tijen Roshko, who combines her background in nuclear physics and interior design, will showcase Kolye TJN’s new collection of gender-neutral accessories. Known for innovative designs that merge art and science, the brand focuses on sustainability, using 100% eco-friendly wool felt in its pieces.
“Our goal is to create accessories that are more than just fashion statements; they are extensions of the wearer’s personality and values,” said Tijen. “We are honoured to be selected amongst some of the leading new designers in Canada to share our vision at Startup Fashion Week Toronto.”
Kolye TJN’s participation in SFW marks a significant step forward for the company, which has been creating contemporary accessories like bags, bracelets, and neckwear since 2020. The upcoming collection highlights the brand’s commitment to elegance, versatility, and eco-conscious practices.
Startup Fashion Week, which launched in 2014, aims to build Canada’s fashion industry by spotlighting new talent. Tickets for the event are available through Startup Fashion Week Toronto’s website.
