Winnipeg police say a woman was run over by her own vehicle during a robbery and carjacking on Saturday.
It happened at around 2 p.m. in a parking lot near the intersection of York Avenue and Carlton Street, when a 45-year-old woman had her Toyota Tundra pickup truck stolen.
During the altercation, she was run over by her own vehicle as the suspect fled. The victim suffered significant injuries and was transported to hospital in unstable condition, and has since been upgraded to stable.
The stolen vehicle was later recovered by police in the Elmwood area.
