WestJet has unveiled its summer 2025 schedule with expanded connectivity for Winnipeg travellers, including the extension of its Winnipeg-Orlando route to year-round service.
Building on strong demand, the airline also confirmed the return of the Winnipeg-Nashville route for the full six-month summer season after a successful trial in fall 2024.
Winnipeg passengers can expect a 19 percent increase in seat capacity. Popular domestic routes will see increased frequency, including connections to Calgary, Edmonton, Kelowna, Regina, Vancouver, and Victoria, enhancing travel options across Western Canada.
This growth positions Winnipeg as a key hub in WestJet’s summer network and strengthens access to domestic and transborder destinations.
“Strong air connectivity unlocks a world of opportunities for all those who live and work in Manitoba,” said Nick Hays, president and CEO of Winnipeg Airports Authority.
“We’re thrilled to see our transborder destinations go from strength to strength with the return of the Nashville route this summer, and year-round service to Orlando. This partnership continues to drive economic growth in our region and provide even more choice to the community.”
The non-stop Winnipeg-Orlando route will operate year-round once weekly. The direct Winnipeg-Nashville route, which is currently in service, will begin again on April 28, 2025 and run twice weekly until October 24, 2025
