Manitoba RCMP arrested three people last week after a traffic stop turned up drugs near the town of Russell.
Mounties stopped a vehicle on Highway 16 on December 5 and determined the driver didn’t have a valid license.
A 50-year-old man, who was riding as a passenger, did have a valid license. Officers asked the two to switch spots, at which time they noticed drugs in plain view inside the vehicle.
The driver, Kacey Packham, 34, and two passengers, aged 50 and 29, all from Brandon, face four charges of trafficking a scheduled substance. Packham remains in custody, while the others were released pending court dates.
Russell RCMP continue to investigate.
