Winnipeg police have arrested a 16-year-old girl after she allegedly stole a taxi in Fort Richmond on Tuesday.
The 53-year-old driver was assisting a passenger when the intoxicated teen reportedly entered his taxi and attempted to drive away in the 800 block of Allegheny Drive. The driver suffered minor injuries and was dragged when the vehicle was put into reverse by the suspect.
Officers located the stolen taxi nearby in the first 100 block of Killarney Avenue and arrested the suspect.
The teen faces multiple charges, including robbery and impaired operation of a vehicle. She has been released on an undertaking to appear in court.
