WINNIPEG — Doctors Manitoba is encouraging Manitobans to take small steps toward better health with the 2025 Getting Healthy Winter Challenge.
The initiative, part of GettingHealthy.ca, offers trusted medical advice from local doctors to combat online health misinformation.
Participants who join by February 28 can win a Churchill Adventure Trip for two, including airfare, accommodations, and outdoor experiences like beluga viewing and fat biking.
“Most people say they could do more to improve their health, and winter can be the toughest time to start,” said Dr. Randy Guzman, president of Doctors Manitoba.
“It all starts with one step, and this winter if you take one step towards improving your health you can win a great prize. We have plenty of winter-friendly ideas to get you started.”
Research shows 87% of Manitobans feel they could do more to improve their health. Last year, 88% of participants followed through with their health goals, and 93% planned to continue making improvements.
“Medical misinformation is everywhere on the internet, which is why we are focusing on providing trustworthy, research-backed medical resources from local Manitoba doctors,” added Dr. Guzman.
