Winnipeg is proposing a new pool for a potential new recreation complex in Transcona.
Called East of the Red RecPlex, it will be located at the northwest corner of Transcona Boulevard and Plessis Road, next-door to the current Transcona Library.
Winnipeggers have the chance to share their feedback on the design.
“The proposed recreation centre is intended to be a vibrant hub for families and individuals alike,” reads a statement from the City. “The proposed centre will include a lap pool, leisure pool, lazy river, waterslides, gymnasiums, fitness space, walking/running track, café, and more.”
The design now includes an outdoor play area and a space for a potential childcare centre, said the City, based on previous public feedback.
The city will hold open house events at the Transcona Library on Feb. 18 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., and on Feb. 19 from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
An online survey is also available, and feedback will close on March 3.
