A Brandon police officer has been charged following a probe by the Independent Investigation Unit into the arrest of a woman on August 25, 2023.

Brandon officers responded to a disturbance call near First Street and Cornwallis Crescent that night, arresting a woman and returning her home. Days later, she reported injuries to police, and it was later confirmed she had suffered a broken collarbone.
