Winnipeg police have confirmed a domestic incident that left two people dead on Monday is being investigated as a murder-suicide.
Officers responded to a call around 2:08 p.m. in the 500 block of Sherburn Street, where they found a man and woman in medical distress. Both were transported to hospital in critical condition and later died.
The victims have been identified as 22-year-old Nadia Flett-Carriere of God’s Lake First Nation, and a 27-year-old Winnipeg man. Police say there are no outstanding suspects and no threat to public safety.
